1. Acquire a legal copy of the film.
Because it’s wrong to steal from Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
2. Get it queued up, start the film, and PAUSE IT. This is to avoid sync problems since Blu-Rays sometimes take longer than DVDs to start the movie from the menu. If everyone has the movie already started and then unpauses it at the scheduled time, we’re all watching the same thing.
It’s hard to tell since it’s a still image, but trust me, it’s paused.
3. Keep an eye on the clock (synchronise with timeanddate.com), and at the right time, press play. Do not stop or pause the movie for anything. Pretend it’s on television or something. What’s that, you want a snack? Too bad, should have thought of that before! Or just get it while the movie keeps playing, that’s fine too. Keep cats away from the remotes, they’ll push buttons if they can.
4. Tweet along with everyone else, using the given hashtag. That’s it!
