TweetFilm No. 9 – Die Hard

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…

It’s time for another TweetFilm already! And it’s our very first Christmas special, so of course we’re screening the undisputed greatest Christmas movie of all time – Die Hard. A pillar of 80s action, and a must for any connoisseur of explosions/guns/Alan Rickman, Die Hard holds up as a brilliantly fun piece of cinematic excess. So yippee ki-yay, motherfuckers, let’s TweetFilm it.

Wednesday December 7, come on out to the coast, we’ll get together, have a few laughs – just make sure you use this hashtag:

#tfdiehard

As usual, Melbourne folks can come to the free screening at Loop, located at 23 Meyers Place in the CBD, at the Parliament end of Bourke St.

Not in Melbourne, or can’t get there but still want to take part? No problem! We’ll be synchronising our start time with timeanddate.com’s Melbourne page as usual, so you can take part at home. Read our how-to page for all the details.

So, to sum up…
Where: Loop, 23 Meyers Place, Melbourne / anywhere with a DVD player
When: Wednesday December 7, arrive from 7:00 pm for a 7:30 start

TweetFilm No. 8 – The Matrix

What is the Matrix? Why, it’s this month’s TweetFilm of course!

What to say about this icon of the late 90s? It cemented Keanu’s place in popular culture, influenced action and sci-fi movies for the next decade, coined the phrase ‘bullet-time,’ and fueled countless pub conversations about entry-level philosophy in a way that has not been done since (except possibly Inception).

While I was sorely tempted to make the hashtag #whoa, or #iknowkungfu, I’ve decided to stick with tradition:

#tfmatrix

For those in Melbourne who want to come to the free screening, we will be returning to our gracious hosts, Loop, which is located at 23 Meyers Place, at the Parliament end of Bourke St.

Not in Melbourne, or can’t get there but still want to take part? No problem! We’ll be synchronising our start time with timeanddate.com’s Melbourne page as usual, so you can take part at home. Read our how-to page for all the details.

Even though this is based on the second one, it’s still a great parody so it’s worth linking
